Are job hoppers ok now?

To use a tired cliché, with unprecedented volatility in the job market in the last few years, including mass layoffs in 2020 and 2023, many candidates, especially in tech, have resumes hiring managers and HR/Recruiters derogatorily refer to as “job hoppers”.

Candidates that have worked at a couple companies or more for a period of 1-2 years or less get typically passed up on.

While this is still the case for some, it is also true that employers have shown more empathy and given candidates more leeway in recent months.

Job Hoppers’ resumes are being looked at more often, and these candidates are getting hired.
